Gurumurthi Shankar is a qualified finance professional and an industry veteran with close to 3 decades of logistics experience.
He spent about 24 years in the GAC Group in various capacities across geographies. During his 24 years with GAC, Shankar helped them establish and expand their presence in Southeast Asia with greenfield projects in countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore. After a successful run in Asia, Shankar returned to GAC’s UAE Head Quarters to work as their Global Sales Director.
Shankar joined as the COO of Global Shipping & Logistics 4 years back and is responsible for GSL’s business. He is a well-recognized industry leader and currently busy spearheading GSL’s strategic growth through local and regional expansion plans.
