Serge Taibaly is a French citizen, born in Madagascar with roots from India. Serge has a Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Optimization from the Paris 8 University in France and an Master Degree in International Supply Chain from ESC Rennes (ESLI) one of top 4 supply chain school in France. Serge has a 10+ years experience in Supply Chain Domain in Europe, India, Middle East and Africa zone.
Serge is the Head of MEA Transportation and customs at Schneider Electric where his responsibilities include overseeing transportation operations improvement, modeling and bid optimization. At Schneider Electric, Serge has worked closely with leading supply chain companies including DHL, DAMCO, PANALPINA, and FEDEX. Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Serge spent 2 years with Matco Carpets (Textile Industry) in India, His last position at Matco was Business Development and Plant Director of rug Products. In this role, Serge was responsible for managing product development, marketing, and supply chain.
His focus on operational excellence and disciplined execution has enabled him to bring about significant operating gains. Serge has always been able to establish the appropriate metrics to control supply chain activities and quickly identify when cost and performance are not what they should be. He has evaluated and corrected process flaws and believes work should add value. Any steps in the process that do not add value should be questioned, corrected or eliminated if possible.
Serge is certified Green Belt Six Sigma. Fluent in English/French/Gujrati/Hindi
