Azfar Khan was appointed as Managing Director of APL Logistics Middle East and Africa in 2013. Based in Dubai, Azfar oversees all APL Logistics’ activities in UAE, Bahrain and a host of other countries in the Middle East and Africa including Turkey. In recent years, Mr. Khan successfully ventured into geographically expanding APL Logistics operational foothold in 4 regional countries and growing the capabilities with additional services especially in the key verticals of Automotive and Industrials.
Prior to his current role in the logistics sector, Mr. Khan worked for APL liner & APL Logistics in various countries in Asia, including Malaysia and Singapore. He has over a decade of experience in Shipping and Supply Chain Management by starting his career with APL and APL Logistics as a Management Trainee.
Mr. Khan holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Economics. Later on he also obtained a Master of Science degree from Nanyang Technological University (NYU) in Singapore, specializing in Maritime Studies (MSs), a programme conducted jointly by NTU and the Norwegian School of Management (BI).
