Akshay currently runs a management consulting practice based out of Dubai. He helps SME companies scale more efficiently by addressing financial and operational topics. In the past he has advised companies across the E-commerce, F&B, O&G, Healthcare, Energy and PE/VC sectors as well as startups on scaling and fund raising. He is currently on the Board of two startups which are disrupting the travel and transportations markets.
Akshay was Director Operations at Mumzworld.com, Middle East’s largest mother, baby and child e-commerce retail startup where he led the company through 7x growth over two years.
Akshay has spent two years at management consulting firm A.T. Kearney in the Middle East where he advised companies on various strategic and operational topics across the energy and infrastructure segments. His areas of specialty include feasibility analysis, business plan development, due-diligence, operating and governance model design, organization re-structuring, business processes design and change management.
Akshay has also held a management position at General Electric Inc, Canada where he worked for 5 years within the new product development team specializing in the smart grid.
Akshay has an MBA from the London Business School and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Canada.
